The fragmentation of power, the widespread access to weapons and political infighting has fuelled armed conflict in Libya since the revolution in 2011. A new round of fighting that started in April 2019 has increased the levels of external military intervention while weakening any prospects for peace and stability in Libya. DAG has been engaging with local political and security actors in Libya, as well as international actors, since 2015 to facilitate political and security dialogues.
