Kirkuk, Iraq

The disputed oil-rich province of Kirkuk and other areas in northern Iraq are facing deepening rifts within and across ethnic communities, tribes and sects. Daesh’s occupation and the aftermath of the offensive against them has aggravated these divisions. DAG is facilitating a dialogue with the political and security leaders of the different ethnic communities. This dialogue deals with the challenge of community co-existence and territorial control in the aftermath of the offensive against Daesh.
